Convert BMP to PDF online for free — turn legacy Windows BMP bitmap images into a portable PDF document with custom page sizing. No sign-up.

BMP to PDF is part of PrivaTools — a free, open-source alternative to iLovePDF, Smallpdf, and Adobe. Server-side tools process your file in an isolated container and discard it immediately; many tools never upload at all and run entirely in your browser.

How to BMP to PDF with PrivaTools

  1. Upload BMP images — Drop one or many .bmp files. BMP is the legacy Windows bitmap format — uncompressed and lossless.
  2. Choose page size — Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 (210 × 297 mm). Each BMP scales to fit the page while preserving aspect ratio.
  3. Download the PDF — Click Convert. All input images are combined into a single PDF, one image per page in upload order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the output PDF so much smaller than the BMPs?

BMP is uncompressed; PDF stores images in DCT (JPEG) or Flate format. A 5 MB BMP usually becomes a few hundred KB inside the PDF.

Will quality degrade?

By default the conversion is near-lossless using high-quality JPEG. For 100% lossless, convert via PNG first (PNG-to-PDF) — slightly larger output.

How many BMPs can I convert at once?

Up to the 500 MB total file limit. Several dozen images is routine.
